2024 Update: time sure does fly!
- All fullbody pieces (fresh apple crisp, pumpkin-apple muffins, little cake pops) come with a complimentary simple pet/pippet with no additional cost ^^. Why not celebrate the holidays and visit the bakery with a buddy?
- Pumpkin-apple muffins (tarot card inspired) commissions are now retired.
- I take Pouflon items/coins at the rate of $1 : 1.5c or a flat +10c, whichever is less.Examples have been updated to keep things fresh and never funky.

Simple BGs are usually low-detail or low emphasis on things, and are typically more in my 'storybook style'. BGs that are more on the complex side will have more elements, props/items, more hand drawn/painted elements (or completely painted), etc.Feel free to send a reference photo to let me know what kind of background you're considering and I will be able to quote it.

Customs

I offer custom design commissions to create a new OC for you! Examples of my designs can be seen below (click for full res) and in here. I have more upon request.As a reminder if you've bought a design from me (adopt or custom) and you want a new design based off of it (adult design, re-design, etc) it is cheaper, feel free to ask me about it!I take Pouflons coins/items at a rate of $1 = 1.5c (rounding up) unless otherwise noted.

can anything beat a nice, warm, homemade apple pie fresh out of the oven? th-there is? we-well, maybe you haven't had one of my legendary homemade pies yet! we're talking a custom design made completely by me!prices vary depending on complexity of the request, so it's hard to give an exact quote. add'l fees for complexity, forms, and accessories apply.

  • asymmetrical design: + .5x the cost2

1 Complex requests is subjective but I will let you know if I think it is complex before payment so you can decide if you want to go forward with it. You will never be forced to pay me more in retrospect, even if your commission was harder than I expected.
2 Regarding asymmetrical designs: As an example, if on arboret base, then 20 x .5 = an additional $10 if you want me to design the other side of the asymmetrical design. Complexity would add onto this, but you won't get charged for double off-base edits.

TOS

By commissioning me, you are agreeing to my terms, and understanding of my workflow and disclaimers. If you have any questions or would like to see if I may change something for you, ask before payment of the commission.

  • All art I create is for personal use. If you want commercial usage for anything, whether that is a design that I create or an art piece, the price is 1x more of what you paid. For example, if the custom was $30, then the additional commercial fee would be $30.

  • Do not turn my art into NFTs. My art is not for AI training or use either: do NOT use my art for AI training.

  • Payment is accepted via PayPal, and I only accept USD.

  • Payment is expected in full within 36 hours, unless otherwise worked out between me, the artist, and you, the customer. I will not start the commission unless paid.

  • If you chargeback, you will be blocked and put on my public blacklist.

  • Turnaround time is highly varied, but you can see my progress on Trello. You can also message me on Discord or Toyhouse regarding progress.

  • I will allow you to change the character being drawn/written about or custom character details if I have not yet started. If I have started, I will not allow you to change it.

  • If I haven't started a commission, you can request to change commission types (e.g, if you ordered an art commission but now want writing or a custom), but I may not agree. This is because I accepted a commission of a certain type. You can ask, and I can consider, but it is not a guarantee. I only take certain amounts of certain commissions at a time, and sometimes I am closed for certain kinds of commissions.

  • Regarding refunds, I will only allow full refunds if I haven't started the piece. After that, it is only partial refunds based on how much I've finished. If it's half done, then you get a half refund, and you get to keep any of the WIP progress.

  • All art, writing, customs, etc., that I have created may be posted to promote myself. If you wish to have an entirely private commission that will not be posted by me at all, you will have to pay an additional .5x fee. (If it was $20, then it's an additional $10). This is because I want to be able to show off my art and add examples to my portfolio.

  • If you have a rush/strict deadline, I can try to adhere to that if you let me know. If it is a rush, there will be an additional .5x fee.

  • Any declined sketches, concepts, writings, etc, may be repurposed for use as I see fit.

  • If you are posting a character to Toyhou.se, please credit me, 'lemondrops' as the charactor's creator. Please remember to credit the base artist for the lines, if you ordered an on-base custom. If you are posting art, please credit me as the artist.

  • You may post the art on other platforms as long as you credit me for it/include links back to me.

  • Once you purchase an adoptable it is yours to use as you wish. This includes changes, redesigns, etc. All I ask is that you keep the original design with the character (in a separate TH tab is fine). The only exception is commercial use, you have to pay the commercial fee to use it commercially.

  • Do not sell my characters for more than you paid for them + art you commissioned of them. (Value of art gotten from a trade can count as worth as long as you trade the character rather than sell it for full USD.

Workflow

art

  • Once payment is received, I will start working.

  • For art , you will receive a sketch WIP and can request changes. Specific anatomy changes/fixes will be done to the best of my ability. You are also allowed to redline for me, if you prefer that. Once the sketch is approved, you will no longer receive a full refund if you ask for one.

  • After this, your art will be lined, and sent to you again for an update. Any large changes here may incur a small fee. The lineart stage, once completed, is considered half way.

  • Once approved, I will begin coloring. If your commission is a flat piece, then I will show you the final piece for approval. I will do minor edits/marking fixes/etc, but I won't be willing to change pose or anything.

  • If you ordered a shaded piece, I will do the shading and also send it to you. Again, minor edits/fixes are fine, but not major ones.

  • In general, I do not accept major (free) changes/revisions after the sketch approval stage, because by approving the sketch you approve the direction of the art.

writing

  • Once payment is received, I will start working.

  • For writings, I will usually bounce ideas off of you to make sure you like the idea of it before putting my pen to paper.

  • Once I begin writing, I will send you the first intro paragraph/100 words to see if you like the style. Once you approve, you will no longer receive a full refund if you ask for one.

  • You will be sent updates around significant parts/milestone of the story. Finishing a certain part and transitioning into something else, finishing developing a character's backstory and moving into something else, etc.

  • I am always willing to make small changes. Reword things, move stuff around, add more detail here, add more scenery there, less conversation here, etc. I am not willing to make large changes for free (completely changing, revamping, or deleting a part). This is because we have agreed before-hand about what you wanted written, and as long as I have delivered and done what we discussed, large changes will cost extra.

customs

  • Once payment is received, I will start working.

  • For both on and off-base customs, I will usually bounce ideas off of you to make sure you like the idea of it before putting my pen to paper. For customs, I will find a palette, explain markings/ideas, etc. Once we reach an agreement on what you would like, that locks in the custom.

  • If you ordered an off-base custom, you will go through the workflow on the art-side regarding sketch process, lineart process, and coloring process.

  • For either custom option, once I do the design you can request changes. Minor changes (addition/removal of small markings, etc) are free. Major changes (complete palette revamp, complete marking change, changing traits, etc) will incur charges. This is because we agreed to the ideas beforehand and it is now changing past what we communicated and agreed upon when we started the commission.

  • I am a learning artist and my anatomy may be inaccurate and poses/expressions may be somewhat static, although I promise I will try my best to accurately portray the character. By commissioning me you understand this and are okay with this.

- NSFW for people that are comfortable proving their age to me in typical online verification status (posting a document with age on it and blocking out all important info other than birthday)

- Anything body horror-y or with super complicated elements (20 wings, 3349 horns)For Customs:I WILL do:

- Characters that are intended to look just like (or very similar to) copyrighted characters. I'm fine taking loose interpretation, but it is a fine line.For Writing:I WILL write:
